Terms of Service
These terms are an agreement between you and BothSidez, LLC, a Texas limited liability company being formed (“we”, “us”), for using Both Sides — the website at bothsidez.ai, the web app, and the iPhone app. By using Both Sides you agree to them. If you don't agree, please don't use it.
Who may use Both Sides
You must be at least 13 years old, and old enough in your country to agree to these terms (or have a parent or guardian agree for you). Both Sides is invite-only during early access. One account per person; keep your email account secure, since that is how you sign in.
What Both Sides does — and doesn't
Both Sides uses AI and web search to summarize what you send, check its main claims, and set out different sides of an issue. It is built to be checkable: it quotes the source, labels each claim with a verdict from a fixed list, and links to its sources.
It can be wrong. AI can misread a source, miss something important, or rely on a source that is itself mistaken. Treat every check as a starting point and open the sources. Both Sides does not tell you who is right, and nothing it produces is legal, medical, financial, or other professional advice. It is not affiliated with, or endorsed by, any person, publication or platform it mentions or analyzes.
What you send, and what comes back
You keep whatever rights you have in what you send. You give us permission to process it — including sending it to our AI and hosting providers — only to make your checks, keep them for you, and run the service. You're responsible for having the right to send it, and for not sending other people's private information without a good reason.
The checks Both Sides makes for you are yours to read, keep, and share. If you share a check, you're choosing to make that analysis visible to anyone with the link, and you can turn the link off at any time. Please don't edit a check and present it as what Both Sides found.
What you may not do
- Break the law, or use Both Sides to harass, threaten, or target anyone.
- Try to get around invite, daily, or other limits, or share your account.
- Overload, disrupt, probe, or attack the service, or access it by automated means other than our apps.
- Copy, reverse engineer, or resell the service, or use it to build a competing product.
- Send material you have no right to send, or that contains malware.
Price
Both Sides is free during early access. We may introduce paid plans; if we do, we will say so on this site and in the app, and you will never be charged without choosing a plan first. Plans bought through the App Store are also subject to Apple's terms.
Availability
We work to keep Both Sides running, but we don't promise it will always be available, fast, or error-free. Some parts depend on other services — for example, a social network may refuse to let us open a post. We may change or remove features.
Ending an account
You can delete your account at any time in the app (Profile → Delete my account). We may suspend or close an account that breaks these terms or puts the service or other people at risk, and we will tell you why unless the law or safety prevents it.
Disclaimers
Both Sides is provided “as is” and “as available.” To the fullest extent the law allows, we disclaim all warranties, express or implied, including that the checks are accurate, complete, or fit for any particular purpose.
Limit of liability
To the fullest extent the law allows, BothSidez, LLC is not liable for indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages, or for lost profits, data, or goodwill, arising from your use of Both Sides. Our total liability for any claim relating to Both Sides is limited to the greater of the amount you paid us in the 12 months before the claim, or US $50. Some places don't allow these limits, so they may not all apply to you.
If you cause us a claim
If someone brings a claim against us because of what you sent or how you used Both Sides in breach of these terms, you agree to cover our reasonable costs of dealing with it, to the extent the law allows.
Changes to these terms
We may update these terms. We'll change the date at the top, and tell you in the app before a significant change takes effect. Continuing to use Both Sides after that means you accept the new terms.
Law and disputes
These terms are governed by the laws of the State of Texas, without regard to conflict-of-law rules, and any dispute will be heard in the state or federal courts located in Texas. Before filing any claim, please contact us so we can try to resolve it informally. Nothing in these terms takes away rights you have under the consumer laws of where you live.
The rest of it
If part of these terms can't be enforced, the rest still applies. If we don't enforce something right away, we haven't given up the right to. These terms, with our Privacy Policy, are the whole agreement about Both Sides.
